The Opera in You Returns!
Our celebrated series of writing and storytelling workshops returns this fall at San Francisco Opera. These workshops explore the unique experiences within us all, as participants build storytelling literacy skills in a creative and collaborative environment.
Stories Retold
San Francisco Opera loves to retell stories. From the legend of the Holy Grail in Wagner’s celebrated masterpiece Parsifal to the world premiere of Huang Ruo and David Henry Hwang’s The Monkey King, opera is all about telling stories in new ways. The 2025 season of The Opera in You will focus on the retelling of stories that represent our cultures, our childhoods, and the world we live in today.
