You might’ve seen Corey Rosen hosting The Moth, performing improv at BATS Improv, or sharing true stories on stage that make you laugh one minute and tear up the next.

Or maybe you’ve met him in a boardroom, a classroom, or even on a cruise ship — guiding people from eighty different countries to find their voices and tell their stories.

Wherever you’ve met Corey — on stage, on screen, or at work — one thing is always the same: he believes everyone has a story worth telling. And he’s made it his life’s work to help people find the courage, language, and craft to tell theirs.

DO YOU KNOW COREY?

THE STORY BEGINS

Who is Corey?

I’ve spent most of my life chasing stories — on stage, on camera, in classrooms, and in companies. For me, storytelling isn’t just what I do; it’s how I make sense of the world.

I started in entertainment — writing, performing, producing at Jim Henson Productions, Comedy Central, Lucasfilm, and elsewhere — learning how a story can make people lean in, laugh, cry, or see themselves differently. But what really changed me was realizing that storytelling doesn’t just belong in theaters or film studios. It belongs everywhere.

When I began teaching and coaching, I saw how powerful it could be when people — from executives to students to parents — learned to tell their own stories with honesty and heart. That’s what drives me now. Helping people find the words, rhythm, and courage to tell the stories that connect us all.

THE VISION

Ready to meet Corey?

I believe storytelling is a kind of superpower — not the flashy, comic-book kind, but the human kind. It’s how we make sense of change, build trust, and feel less alone in the world.

After years of writing and performing, I started to notice something: the same tools that make a story work on stage could also help people in real life — in job interviews, classrooms, and boardrooms. That realization led me to create Your Story, Well Told, a company dedicated to helping people and teams find the story inside everything they do.

Through workshops, keynotes, and coaching, I’ve seen how story can transform communication — turning awkward presentations into conversations, and everyday experiences into moments of meaning. My vision is simple: to make storytelling a practice that anyone can use to connect, inspire, and lead.

THE HEART

Why you should know Corey?

My mom loves to throw a dinner party.  She brings together friends in different combinations over delicious food (cooked by my dad!).  At my core, I’m a lot like her.  I’m a connector. I love helping people find their voice, laugh at themselves, and see the meaning in the messy, beautiful details of their own lives.

I’m also a husband, a dad, and a lifelong improviser — which means I’ve learned that the best stories usually happen when things don’t go according to plan. My family keeps me grounded and endlessly inspired. Watching my kids grow up has taught me as much about storytelling as any stage ever has: every day, every moment, is a story unfolding in real time.

I believe in honesty, curiosity, and play — the ingredients that make any story (and any life) worth sharing. Whether I’m performing, teaching, or listening, my goal is always the same: to create spaces where people feel safe enough to be real, and brave enough to be heard.

THE CRAFT

Want a peek at what Corey’s been working on?

My work lives at the crossroads of storytelling, performance, and teaching. I’m the author of Your Story, Well Told (Mango Publishing, 2021) and the upcoming A Story for Everything (Turner Publishing, 2025), both of which explore how stories shape the way we live, work, and connect.

On stage, I’ve hosted and performed for shows like The Moth, Simply Said, and Word of Mouth Storytelling. As a teacher, I lead workshops across the country — from theaters and schools to Fortune 500 companies and tech startups — helping people turn their experiences into stories that move others.

Through my company, Your Story, Well Told, I design custom storytelling and improv training for individuals, teams, and organizations. Each project, class, and performance is part of the same mission: to show that storytelling isn’t just an art form — it’s a tool for connection, creativity, and understanding.

THE STORIES

Want to see the world through Corey’s eyes?

Every story I tell starts with a moment — something small that reveals something big. Maybe it’s a misstep that turns into a revelation, or a family memory that suddenly makes sense years later. Those moments are where truth hides, and where connection begins.

On stage, I tell stories that make people laugh, cry, and sometimes both at once. In my writing, I explore how those same stories live in all of us — in our work, our families, our relationships, and the choices we make every day.

Here, you’ll find a collection of stories from my books, shows, and new reflections I’ll be sharing regularly. Some are funny, some are deeply personal, and all of them are true — in the way the best stories always are.

(Blog coming soon — because the stories never stop.)

Every great story starts with a moment of courage — someone deciding to share a piece of themselves. If something here sparked an idea, a memory, or the thought “maybe I have a story too,” that’s the beginning.

Whether you’re an individual looking to find your voice, a company ready to strengthen your culture through story, or an event organizer searching for an engaging host or speaker — I’d love to connect.

Let’s find your story, shape it, and share it with the world.
