Stories That Reveal Something True: Storytelling in Everyday Life with Corey Rosen

Storytelling has never been just about being on stage for me. It is a way of seeing, connecting, and understanding the world around me. Over the years, I have had the chance to help thousands of people, from theater audiences to corporate teams, discover their voices and connect through the stories they carry.
What I love most about storytelling is how personal it can be. I have taught crew members on cruise ships, coached leaders in boardrooms, and worked with students and everyday people. In each case, I have learned that the power of a story is not in perfection. It is in honesty, in vulnerability, and in the ordinary moments that carry meaning. Stories turn those moments into lessons that people remember. They build connections, strengthen teams, and even transform leadership.
A video from the MTS Dalloway’s book event brought this into sharp focus by asking, “What’s your story really about?” That question captures the heart of storytelling, finding the deeper truth that turns lived experience into something meaningful for others. You can watch the video by clicking the button.
If you have ever wondered how storytelling could make a difference in your work, your relationships, or even the way you understand yourself, this conversation is a window into how it can go far beyond entertainment. Every story we tell has the potential to connect, inspire, and change the way we show up in the world.
I would love for you to read the full interview to hear more about my experiences, the lessons I have learned, and how storytelling can become a practice in everyday life.
